MarkTodo’s home is Obsidian’s official Community Plugins directory. It’s free, and always will be.

  1. In Obsidian, open Settings → Community plugins and turn off Restricted mode if it is on.
  2. Choose Browse, search for MarkTodo, and choose Install.
  3. Choose Enable.

Requires Obsidian 1.8.7 or newer. Works on desktop and on Obsidian mobile, where it starts in Lightweight mode.

BRAT installs MarkTodo’s beta releases before they reach the directory — use it if MarkTodo is not in Community Plugins for you yet.

  1. In Obsidian, open Settings → Community plugins and install BRAT (Obsidian42 - BRAT). Enable it.
  2. Open the command palette and run BRAT: Add a beta plugin for testing.
  3. Paste the repository: centifanto/MarkTodo-releases
  4. Choose Add plugin, then enable MarkTodo under Community plugins.

The app is on Google Play, free to install, with an optional Pro unlock inside. It needs Android 7.0 or newer.

On first run it asks you to pick your vault folder through Android’s storage picker. That grant is what lets it read and write your notes; there is no other connection to set up, and no sign-in.

Android app shows how to get around once it is set up.
